Matt Banks

Matt Banks of Covington, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018, at the age of 45. A veteran of the United States Army, Matt honorably and proudly served his country in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He approached all things in life with tenacity, passion and dedication. In his role as the baby of his family, he shared a unique bond with his mother. Matt drew from that special attention and showered his own son with the same love and affection.

Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Mary Banks of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Laurie Banks; Andy and Ashley Banks; Dean and Becky Banks; wife, Elizabeth Banks of Covington; son, John Thomas Banks; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Matt will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Chaplain Jim Ross and Staff Sgt. Tim Bellinger officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to his service, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
