Martha Laverne Mask

Martha Laverne Mask of Covington, passed away April 25, 2014, at the age of 68. Laverne was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, in Covington. She enjoyed spending time with her "youngins", going to yard sales, and looked forward to watching Little House on the Prairie daily. She was a great mother, a loving Granny, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Whenever someone told her they loved her, she always replied, "I love you anyway!" She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Martha (Maloy) Whidby; grandson, William Michael Yates; four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Rick Jenovese of Social Circle; son, William Yates of Covington; granddaughters, Nichole, Jessica, Hannah, Sarah, Crystal, Stephanie, Heather, Amy; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Caitlyn, Jacob, Nicolas, Jordy; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Kathy Whidby of Conyers; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Laverne will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 8111 Brown Bridge Road, in Covington, with Pastor Mike Franklin and Rev. Reese Sanders officiating, and interment following in Zion Baptist Cemetery, in Covington. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, Covington, Saturday, April 26, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
