Lisa DeLong

Lisa DeLong of Rutledge, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at the age of 51. Lisa put her family and friends' needs before her own. She often joked about being a psychiatrist because she loved listening to and helping others. Lisa devoted her life to her children and was a caregiver to her mother, her best friend. Besides spending time with her family, Lisa loved caring for her pets. She was often found snuggled up with her dog, Daisy, watching a Hallmark movie. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Ronald Pruitt; mother, Margaret Dale Benton.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Allen DeLong, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Cody Faircloth; son, Robert Allen DeLong, III; step-mother, Judy Pruitt; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Jan Pruitt; nieces, Hailey Mellott and her husband, Josh, Brittany Germany and Leah Pruitt.

A Memorial Service for Lisa will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Carl Reimold officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
