Kathy Christian

Kathy Christian, of Covington, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019, at 63 years of age. A vital member of her community, Kathy worked for the Newton County Recreation Department and attended Gospel Mission Church in Covington. Her smile brightened any room, and she was quick to offer a kind word and support to anyone who needed it. Kathy was a gentle and caring soul whose willingness to help others knew no limits. She was a loyal friend and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Worley Fleeman; and brother, Danny Fleeman.

Those who will always hold her memory close are her husband, Les Christian; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tiffany Christian; grandson, Wesley Christian; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Rick Carver, Vickie and Tony Shannon, Tammy and Johnny Adams; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Judy Fleeman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Kathy will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Wayne Whitley officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. Friends may visit with the family Monday, October 28, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
