Jeff Gates

Jeff Gates of Covington, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at the age of 49. Jeff was employed with Sherwin Williams for nineteen years. He was talented with his hands and enjoyed wood working and remodeling. Jeff's family was his pride and joy, and he will be remembered as a loving son, husband, Daddy and Pawpaw.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Mona Gates; children and son-in-law, Kerrie and Gilbert Gardner, Gavin Gates, Avery Cheek all of Covington, Aislin Gates of Oxford; mother of Jeff's children, Laurie Gates; parents; Jimmy and Janie Gates of Oxford; grandson, Declan Beasley; sister, Stephanie Deanne Nash of Oxford; nephew, Frank Nash.

A Graveside Service for Jeff will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, 1:00 PM, in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington. Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Friday, December 28, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
