Icelin Reid

Icelin Reid, "Icy", age 96, of Covington, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018. Mrs. Reid immigrated to the United States from Guy's Hill, St. Catherine, Jamaica. A supportive member of Hope Redemption Worship Center, in Conyers, she also maintained her membership at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, in Jamaica. Mrs. Reid delighted in reading the Bible and making meals for her family, and she will be remembered for her compassion for others and her kind disposition. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Reid.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Reid-Marsh and husband, Carlington; son, Beswick Reid and wife, Maureen; grandchildren, Antionette Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Coydarryl McClendon, Coyanna McClendon, Dionne Allen, Paula Jones, André Reid, Beswick Reid, Jr., Joseph Reid, Paul Jackson; great-grandchildren, Thalia Dixon, Serenity Allen, Messiah Johnson, Kayla Reid, Sean Allen, Jr., Keith Reid; as well as sister, Beryl Johnson.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Reid will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, 1:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Bishop Winston L. Blaine officiating. Friends may visit with the family, three hours prior to her service, from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
