David Chancey Obituary
Mr. David Scott Chancey of Covington, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at the age of 60, after a brief illness. Mr. Chancey was a 1980 graduate of Georgia State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. A sports fanatic, he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Tech football, the Braves and NASCAR - especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Mr. Chancey loved his dogs, reading, collecting things and most of all, his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Ned R. Chancey.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Scott Kritzman; mother, Peggy R. Chancey; brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Julie Chancey; nephew, Nathan and his wife, Elizabeth Chancey; niece, Haley and her husband, Justin Jones; great-nieces, Reagan Jones, Audrey Jones; as well as numerous other family members.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
