Charles Aycox Obituary
Charles (Ricky) Aycox of Covington, passed away January 20, 2017, at the age of 68. Mr. Aycox was a hard-working family man. He adored his children and considered them to be the love of his life. Mr. Aycox took great delight in coaching his kids on the ballfield, and giving them life advice. He was an avid Tech fan, and also enjoyed watching wrestling with Timothy and Melanie. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Nell (Kenney) Aycox.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sharon Aycox; daughters, Melanie Aycox, Adriane Roop, both of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Melissa Aycox of Mansfield, Timothy and Kristi Roop of Covington; grandchildren, Taylor Aycox, Caitlin Aycox, Shakela Bledsoe, Leon Bledsoe, Tipton Roop, Esme Aycox, Hudson Roop, Elyn Aycox; great-granddaughter, Kennedi Short; sister, Linda Hall of Covington; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Aycox will be held January 23, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Rev. J. Clifton Brown, officiating and internment in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, Sunday, January 22, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
