There
are many ways to honor the memory of a loved one. At Caldwell and Cowan Funeral
Home, we believe that a properly planned funeral service can provide families
with a meaningful event... a time for sharing good
memories and experiences with family and friends. It is a time when respect,
concern, and appreciation for a life that has been lived can be expressed in a
sincere, loving manner. Whether you plan a simple viewing, a full traditional
burial service, a cremation or memorial service, or any service in between, we
are here to help you with the details of planning, and then to fulfill them in
a professional and compassionate manner.
Funeral Options:
Burial: For many families, burial services
have long been a tradition. In fact, an earth burial is still the most common
of all cemetery services. One reason is that burial plots offer families a
place to return to visit and pay respect to the loved ones they miss so dearly.
For many, cemeteries still offer a peaceful resting place where their memorials
and final tributes can be shared with generations to come. Another option is
mausoleum entombment. Mausoleums are usually either an indoor building, or an
outdoor or garden structure designed to be the final resting place for our
loved ones. Generally, burial and mausoleum services often include visitation,
a service in a church or funeral home chapel, and procession to the burial site
followed by a committal service. However, Caldwell and Cowan offers a wide
range of burial services that can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
Our Funeral Directors
are here to discuss the many burial service options that are available to you.
Cremation: More and more people are choosing
cremation as an alternative to a traditional burial service. The reasons for
choosing cremation are both personal and varied. Whatever the reasons,
cremation has become a popular choice and the trend is growing. In keeping with
our tradition, Caldwell and Cowan offers a wide range of choices for cremation
services. Cremation services can include a public visitation, open casket, and
a memorial service as well as

many other options. The service can take place either at the funeral home,
place of worship or any other location you may choose. It is important to
remember that with cremation, you still have the ability to add thoughtful,
personal touches and memorial observances to honor and remember the person who
has died. Whether you decide on interring an urn in a family plot, scattering
the cremated remains, or placing the urn in a mausoleum niche, our Funeral
Directors will carefully explain the many options that are available to you.
