Woodrow Wilkerson Obituary
Woodrow Thomas Wilkerson of Covington, passed away October 6, 2015, at the age of 61. Tommy was born in Quitman, Georgia, but attended Avondale High School, in DeKalb County, where he enjoyed playing football. He loved watching football and baseball, but he especially treasured the time he spent fishing with his family and friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Clara (Corbin) Wilkerson.
Survivors include his adoring wife of 35 years, Teresa H. Wilkerson; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Jason Stonek of Covington; step-son, D.J. Wilson and his wife, Ali of Hampton; grandchildren, Judah Stonek, Andrew Kohl, Alina Kohl; sister, Monteal Wilkerson of Snellville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Jan Wilkerson of Lithonia, Kenneth (Kenny) and Cathy Wilkerson of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Tommy will be held Friday, October 9, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Wayne Rutherford and Rev. Paul Canen officiating and interment following in Melwood Cemetery, in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 8, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM; and Friday one hour prior to the service. Flowers are accepted, or contributions may be made to LifePointe Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 1338, Covington, GA 30015; or Abbey Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 68, Social Circle, GA 30025.
