Tony Oxenrider Obituary

Tony Oxenrider of Conyers, passed away July 1, 2017, at 50 years of age. Tony attended Newton Baptist Church and was employed by Atlanta Insulation in Lithonia for 20 years, and worked for Phoenix Metals in Norcross for a short time. A fun-loving person and proud grandfather, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping.

Survivors include his son, Shawn Oxenrider of Gainesville; grandson, Bransten Lewis; mother and step-father, Brenda and Donald Waggoner of Covington; father, Terry Oxenrider of Baltimore, MD; twin-brother, Tim Oxenrider and wife, Debbie, of Covington; brother, Chad Oxenrider of Baltimore, MD; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Lambert; aunts, Pamela Holloway, Donna Ward, Patricia Belcher; uncles, Darrell Lambert, Rodney Oxenrider, Ricky Oxenrider; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.


A Funeral Service for Tony will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017, 6:00 PM, at Newton Baptist Church, 720 Jack Neely Road, in Covington, with Pastor Tony Howeth officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service, from 5:00 - 6:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's memory to Newton Baptist Church Building Fund. Interment will take place in Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, Baltimore, Maryland.
