Thomas McElreath

Thomas McElreath of Rutledge, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the age of 80. Mr. McElreath enjoyed collecting antiques, and loved going to the mountains. He was married for 32 years to Carole McEreath. He was preceded in death by his son Jeff McElreath; parents, Leroy and Talulah McElreath; brothers, Lewis McElreath, Billy McElreath; sister Nell Durand.

Survivors include his wife Carole McElreath, Rutledge, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Randy Hester, Good Hope, GA; Terri Hudkins, Eatonton GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve McElreath, Fairbanks AL, Mickey and Bonnie Mobley, Covington, GA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Hammond, Betty Jean Nagy; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. McElreath will be held Friday, December 9, 2016, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Pastor Wayne Ghann officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, Thursday, December 8, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
