Rita Frances Sears

Rita Frances Sears of Covington, passed away June 20, 2017, at the age of 86. Mrs. Sears loved her Lord and Savior and could often be found telling people about Jesus. The youngest of fourteen children and proud of her Italian heritage, she enjoyed relating stories about her childhood. Mrs. Sears cherished the time she spent with her family, especially around the dinner table, enjoying the delicious meals she prepared. She was very fashion conscious and never left home until she was perfectly dressed. Also known as Nana and Great-Nana, she was recognized as the rock of her family. Her home was her Badroca.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Harry Sears of Covington; daughter, Lori Colson of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Nathaniel Gabaree, Justin Colson, Jeremy Colson, Coral Whitney, Kristen Whitney, Mark Whitney, Jr., Keith Whitney, Jessica Whitney; great-grandchildren, Sean Mer, Keishaun Drake, Kaila Abree Gabaree, Kharissa Gabaree, Kira Gabaree; sisters, Nina Braiwa, Jean Pedrolini, brother, George Pedrolini; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Sears will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Grace officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Sunday, two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM.
