Mike Alexander,

Mike Alexander, Sr., of Porterdale, passed away November 9, 2017, at 63 years of age. Mr. Alexander was a resident of Porterdale for 41 years. In addition to his many years working as a carpet installer, he also renovated houses with his friends, David Taylor and Lee Durden. Mr. Alexander's hobbies were deer hunting and fixing computers. Known as a loving husband, father and grandfather, he will also be remembered for his willingness to help his fellow neighbors. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Alexander; father, John Parks Alexander; and grandmother, Lexie Alexander.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Martha Alexander; son and daughter-in-law, Micheal, Jr., and Dwan Alexander of Porterdale; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Olive Alexander of Social Circle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell K. and Liz Alexander of Mansfield, John P. and Teresa Alexander of Conyers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Alexander will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017, 4:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Bro. Robert Nash and Rev. Robert Floyd officiating. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, Saturday, November 11, from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
