Merle Eugenia Andrews

Merle Eugenia Andrews, of Covington, passed away July 26, 2017, at 82 years of age. Mrs. Andrews, affectionately known as "Mom", moved from Trinidad to the United States over 20 years ago. Before moving from Trinidad, she served as church deacon and WOW president at Fyzabad Open Bible Church, and was a graduate of the Open Bible Institute of Theology with a diploma in Theology. Mrs. Andrews currently attended First Baptist of Conyers. She will be remembered as a friend to many, as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Randolph Vincent Andrews; daughter, Jacqueline Ramnarine; grandsons, Kevin and Marlon; parents, George and Emelda (Canniegieter) Best.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Stephen Waldropt of Trinidad, Janice Lezama of Birmingham, England; sons and daughters-in-law, Rawle and Yvette Andrews of Covington, André Anthony and Carol Andrews of Doral, FL; Glen and Juliet Andrews of Covington; grandchildren, Rodney, Barry, Jenelle, Charlene, Natalie, Shelly-Ann, Ashley, Alina, Daryl, Danielle, Dion, Crystal, Fayola, Tamara, David, Danielle, Delicia, Jewel, Jenner-Lee, Jedaiah, Kareem, Brandon, Denzel, Justin; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joanie Best and Michelle Best, both of Trinidad; and brother-in-law, Carlisle O. Kelly of New York.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Andrews will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017, 10:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home, Monday, July 31, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
