Dessie McGilton Obituary
Dessie McGilton of Oxford, passed away February 8, 2016, at the age of 80. Dessie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly and was the "glue" that held the family together. Dessie was a selfless, caring woman who was always willing to help anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Scott Holland; and her parents, Drago and Blanche (Smith) Radanovich.
Survivors include her daughters, Sonya Lane, Cheryl Mitchell, both of Wathena, KS, Debbie Mitchell of Warwood, WV, Shauna Lisa McGilton Holland of Bluffton, SC; sons and daughters-in-law, Joey Coburn of Covington, Chad and Angeline McGilton of Panama City Beach, FL, Mark and Natasha McGilton of Bluffton, SC, Craig and Tracie McGilton of Covington, Billy and Tina McGilton of Oxford; grandchildren, Bryan Kesler Curtis (Angeline), Derek Craig Holland (Nisha), Joshua Craig McGilton, Dillon Blake McGilton (Lauren Ashley), Samantha Cassidy McGilton, Josie Lynn Coburn, Jeremy Matthew McGilton, Brooke Kamri McGilton, Brianna McGilton, AnnaJane Lina McGilton, Aron Keith McGilton, Remy Brigman McGilton, Ayden McGilton, Raven Hope Fuller (Dylan Hickox), Delanay Brooke Snellgrove, Jenna Leigh Hunter; great-grandchildren, Helen Grace Holland, Derek Noah Holland, Bryson Ganner-Blaze Hickox; two more great-grandchildren expected soon; as well as her brother, Daniel Radanovich.
Funeral Services for Dessie will be held Friday, February 12, 2016, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. David Moody officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, February 11, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
