Betty Joanne Chancey

Betty Joanne Chancey of Conyers, passed away March 20, 2017 at 61years of age. Mrs. Chancey was the co-owner and operator of Chancey's Wrecker Service for 35 years. She was known for her ‘green thumb' and will be remembered for being able to grow anything! Mrs. Chancey attended Victory Tabernacle in Conyers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Q. and Willie Ruth (Bruce) Ricks.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 44 years, Carl L. Chancey of Conyers; children and their spouses, Stacey and Kimberly Chancey of Covington, Steven and Lynne Chancey of Conyers, Christina and David Garrett, also of Covington; grandchildren, Chase Chancey, Ansley Chancey, Madison Chancey, Hunterlee Chancey, Dakota Chancey, Becky Chancey; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Charles Pitts of Covington; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Chancey will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor Doug Nelms officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Wednesday, March 22, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
