Berthalene Hanson Richardson

Berthalene Hanson Richardson of Social Circle, passed away June 19, 2018, at the age of 94. Mrs. Richardson, affectionately known as "Momma" to those who adored her most, enjoyed baking, sewing and singing. Her sweet treats were delicious, and people would often request to purchase her goodies! She was a faithful member of West End Baptist Church, in Social Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Darnell) Hanson; and five of her siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Karlene Richardson; sons and daughter-in-law, Randall and Gelaine Richardson, John Neil Richardson; grandchildren, Robin and Joe Cagle, Todd and Heather Richardson, Chris and Marilyn Richardson, John and Dawn Richardson, Sonyanna Hathaway; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Dylan, Caden, Merritt, Ledger, Paxton, Austin, Haleigh, Jacob, Luke; sister, Peggy Keller of North Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Richardson will be held Friday, June 22, 2018, 4 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Gene Hammonds officiating and interment following in Social Circle City Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home Thursday, June 21, from 6 - 8 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - GA Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center E, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346.
