Covington, GA - announces the opening of its new Funeral Home with
Crematory on the grounds of Lawnwood Memorial Park, the perpetual care cemetery located at 1111
Access Road, Covington. With the addition of an on-site Funeral Home and Crematory (called "Dogwood Hill Crematory") at
Lawnwood, families will be able to make all arrangements, funeral, burial and/or cremation, at one
time, either at time of need, or in advance.
Judson Caldwell, owner of Caldwell & Cowan, stated, "The necessity for additional space, the
ability to serve the growth in the Newton County area, and the opportunity to provide area residents
with one source for all their final arrangements, were important factors in our decision to build a
new Funeral Home and Crematory."
Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home will also continue to serve families from their location on historical
Floyd Street, and will continue the tradition of local family ownership and operation by Judson and
Ginger Caldwell. The Caldwell and Cowan families have always had a strong connection to the community,
and a strong commitment to Covington, Newton County and surrounding areas.
